Personal Profile -

Dr. Miao He, born in 1979, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Faculty of Maritime and Transportation, Ningbo University. He received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2008. From 2008 to 2017, he worked at the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), where he conducted research on fuel cells, metal-air batteries, and seawater desalination.

In 2012, he was selected into the third level of the “Ningbo Leading and Top-notch Talent Training Project”. In 2013, he was awarded the “Chunlei Talent Program” of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, CAS, and was also named a core member of the Innovation Team in National Key Fields. He joined Ningbo University in 2017. During 2019–2020, he visited Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as a visiting scholar.

He has served as the principal investigator for 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 3 projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, 5 projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Ningbo, and multiple enterprisecollaboration projects (with a total funding of nearly 4 million RMB). He has also participated as a key member in several major research programs, including the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Key R&D Program of Zhejiang Province, the Key Deployment Program of CAS, and the Key R&D Program of Ningbo.

He has published over 100 papers in internationally renowned journals such as Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, Chemical Communications, and Journal of Power Sources, with nearly 6,000 citations and an H-index of 42. He holds more than 40 authorized national invention patents, of which 21 have been transferred or licensed to enterprises for industrial application.
